THE PIPELINE INDUSTRIES GUILD

As longstanding corporate members, we’re proud supporters of the Pipeline Industries Guild. We sit on various committees, regularly take part in branch meetings, attend events and collaborate with our peers to help drive the industry forward.

Formed in 1957, the Guild is the professional body for the Pipeline Industry. As a respected authority it covers all sectors and branches of the industry: oil, gas, power, water, wastewater, utilities and infrastructure with members working in the UK and internationally.

It is the only association world-wide to cater directly for the needs of the pipeline industry, regardless of discipline – providing a voice to share best practice and technological developments.

INSTITUTION OF GAS ENGINEERS & MANAGERS

IGEM Logo

We’re an Industrial Affiliate member of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM), the chartered professional body for the gas industry.

IGEMs core aim is to help all those involved with gas to achieve and maintain the highest standards of professional competence.

They do this by publishing technical standards, delivering high-quality events and courses that contribute to professional development. They bring people together through membership to share knowledge, expertise, and best practice. IGEM are licensed by Engineering Council to award engineering status and help members become professionally registered Engineers.

Working with industry stakeholders, IGEM also seeks to represent the view of its members and the wider gas community to inform, lobby and influence gas and energy policy.

As an IGEM member, our team has access to a broad range of training and industry resources, including events and seminars. This helps our staff to develop their skill levels and improve capabilities when working with live Gas. Please see our membership profile here.

We’ve been a member of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce (EMCC) for 20+ years. EMCC is the leading voice for businesses across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire, with a vision to enhance East Midlands businesses and communities.

BRITISH STANDARDS INSTITUTION

The British Standards Institution (BSI) was originally established as an Engineering Standards Committee in 1901. It is now the UK’s National Standards Body (NSB) publishing 3,100 standards annually.

The BSI collaborates and engages with stakeholders (industry experts, government bodies, trade associations, all sized businesses, & consumers) to develop standards that reflect good business practice and drive excellence.

This helps improve the quality and safety of products, services and systems, helping organisations to perform better, reduce risk and achieve sustainable growth.

MADE IN THE MIDLANDS

Made in the Midlands logo

Made in the Midlands is a trade association for Midland’s based manufacturing companies. It aims to champion and promote the manufacturing and engineering industries within the region, nationally and overseas.

Established in 2009, it is one of the fastest growing membership groups in the UK with more than 500 members.

Made in the Midlands aims to unite the industry by keeping supply local, upskilling, and reskilling workers and by promoting good news from the sector to help counteract the continual negative press coverage.

EREWASH PARTNERSHIP

The Erewash Partnership was established in 1994 by leaders of the local business community and Erewash Borough Council to bring together those interested in securing a more prosperous future for Erewash.

The Partnership is a not-for-profit approved Enterprise Agency. Its primary objectives are to promote and encourage local enterprise; nurture new business formation; assist business growth and expansion and to promote the economic and social well-being of the area.

The Partnership provides a joint and co-ordinated approach to economic development and regeneration in the Erewash Borough. It now involves over 500 local business members, the Borough and County Councils, Derby College, Schools and various Community organisations.
